Are you an NPC? - Fearless Tribe

Even Elon Musk thinks we’re living in a computer simulation, so there’s really only one question left: are you an NPC or are you a real player?

A short explanation of the term: an NPC, what is that? that is a non-player character. that is a character that has been programmed by someone and acts according to a stimulus response pattern, i.e. it is prescribed how the person reacts to certain triggers.

And the programmer can of course be very different things in our world. It can be the parents, it can be friends, it can be the partner, it can be the employer, it can be any intellectual, it can be politicians, it can be society itself or the media and so on.

The real player, on the other hand, is someone who controls a character in real time and what distinguishes him from the NPC is that he understands that he is himself and that the character is just a character and he is controlling him. NPC does not understand this. He can’t distinguish between the role he’s playing and what’s behind it.

The exciting thing is, as soon as an NPC realizes that he is an NPC and is being remote controlled, he can take control and become the real player controlling the character and that’s why we’re going to look at four signs that can indicate that you are an NPC. Because when you realize that, you can detach from this process:

  1. the first sign that you are an NPC is that you move strangely. NPCs move unnaturally because they are afraid of falling out of character all the time. So they don’t follow their instinct, but think all the time, what do I have to do, how do I have to behave, so that I don’t fall out of my role, so that nobody finds me funny. So that I don’t get any criticism. So you can tell that an NPC is up because they often feel a bit rigid in the presence of others. The real player on the other hand plays with the situation, so he moves the character as he feels like it, follows his instinct and is not afraid to fall out of a role. Because he doesn’t care what others think of him, because he knows that nothing bad will happen.
  2. The second sign is that you say strange things. The npc does not say what he thinks is right, but follows the script that the programmer has taught him. This leads to him coming across as somewhat unnatural. He’s always thinking, “If someone says that, then I have to say that, or what do I have to say so that I stay in my role? He is not creative and not spontaneous. You recognize that such a npc is worried about what others might think when you say this or that and that you don’t want to hurt anyone. that you don’t want to hurt anyone and that you don’t want to fall out of your role and that you always think about what I have to say now so that everyone is satisfied. The paradox is similar to moving, the more you worry about what others might think, the weirder you actually act and the more you stand out. Although all the time you try not to stand out by behaving the way you think others think is right. The real player does it differently. He just follows his instinct and it does not matter to him if someone else feels hurt by it. What he thinks is right. He is not afraid of the conflict with others and certainly not the conflict with npcs.
  3. Number three is that you do not have your own goals. The NPC has no goals of his own. It is a tool of the programmer and therefore already has reaction patterns and it also has no self-discipline, but there must always be a stimulus from the outside for it to do something. It is already predetermined how we should react and also this stimulus and the interesting thing is if the npc has no instruction from the outside then it simply does nothing. The real player, on the other hand, subordinates his entire behavior to his own goal. He has set himself a goal and measures his success. He decides what is good and bad behavior by whether it brings him closer to the goal or not.
  4. Sign number 4 is, an NPC is so engineered that he does not develop further. The NPC does not collect points or resources that he invests in himself to get to the next level, but he has his role and he plays it. The role doesn’t really change either. That is, he always does the same thing, and that has to do with the fact that he has no goals of his own, so it’s no problem for him not to evolve. The real player, on the other hand, enjoys the game because it is geared towards further development. He takes on challenges, collects points and resources, invests them in himself and gets to the next level. He can take on bigger challenges and then get more rewards, so he has a push forward and has more fun in the game.

These were the four signs if you now realize that you are an NPC, it is not so bad because you can become a real player. The only hurdle is that it feels quite strange at the beginning, everything is unfamiliar and you will disappoint your programmers if you suddenly do what you want and not what they want.

That’s why you should join our tribe. It’s worth it because if you leave this NPC behind you will become a real player and you will finally be free to do what you want to do in life. So step into your true power and become fearless.
